Biography
Susie Amy (born 17 April 1981 in London), is a British actress famous for her role as Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe in the first three seasons of Footballers' Wives.
In 2001, at the age of 20, she got her first big break when she was chosen to play 'Chardonnay Lane' in ITV drama Footballers' Wives (2002), which became one of the most talked about shows on TV.
In 2002, after filming a second series of Footballers Wives, she was chosen for the lead role of Valentine D'Artagnan in the Hallmark Production - La Femme Musketeer (2004) (mini) , starring alongside Michael York, GĂ©rard Depardieu and Nastassja Kinski. For the role she had to train in martial arts, fencing and horse riding, which she is said to have loved although this film was largely considered a flop. Unfortunately after spending some time trying to make a name for herself over in the states, it seems she was unsuccessful although such is the blight of many British actresses. A versatile actress, there are many reports that she is considering various British film scripts so it may not be the end of her film career just yet.
In 2005 she played the lead role of Susy Henderson, in the Bill Kenwright produced play, Wait Until Dark. The character of Susy, who is blind, is commonly thought of as being the most exhausting role in theatre.
In 2002, Amy was voted #74 in FHM's 100 Sexiest Girls of 2002 poll, UK edition. She is currently dating Max Beesley (Bodies, Hotel Babylon) and they have been pictured together at friend's weddings in magazines like OK and Hello.
