How on Earth has Diego Forlan Can't be in the last Three for the Ballon d’Or 2010 ?

                             Diego Forlan i salute You
Barcelona players Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez and Lionel Messi are the three nominees for the FIFA Ballon d'Or World Player of the Year 2010 award. Midfielders Iniesta and Xavi a bit helped Spain win its first World Cup title, while Argentine forward Messi Failed to Score In Fifa World cup.. But He Played a major role in Barcelona's Spanish title defense.
Messi likely makes the list because of his play with FC Barcelona while Xavi and Iniesta Nothing did Best in World Cup with Spain. How they Both are in Last Three Nominees for the Fifa Nallon d'Or World Player Of The Year... Nobody Knows Why ? Xavi didn't Deserve and Iniesta in last Three Nominees Just becuz he did One Goal In The World Cup Final...

Why they Forgot Diego Forlan who almost Beat Octopus In The Match For 3rd Place (Uruguay vs Germany) in Fifa World Cup ?(You know what i'm talking about if you remember Last 10 sec.of this Match )

Why they Forgot Diego Forlan Who One Handedly take his team On The Spot Light and End the Tournament at 4th Place after 1970 When Uruguay team End the FIFA Tournament in Mexico ?

Lionel Messi admitted that he does not expect to retain the award he won last year.
Lionel Messi Said:
“I want the winner of the Ballon d’Or to be someone in our locker room.”
He acknowledged that his fellow nominees Carles Puyol, Dani Alves and David Villa are all quality players but when asked the question who he thought was the favorite to win the award was,
He Replied:
“Xavi and Iniesta, who scored in the final. He was the best player in the tournament, even though Diego Forlan was chosen.

“I think the World Cup will have a lot of weight on the final decision.”

Diego Forlan
What a year for this man. Diego Forlan not only spearheaded Atletico Madrid to Europa success but he was the World Cup’s player of the tournament – his ‘Golden Ball’ award justifies that.
Uruguay oozed their way through to the World Cup semi-finals only to be beaten by a resilient Dutch side. Forlan himself scored a spectacular goal to level up proceedings before the interval but were subsequently downed come the end of the game.
Forlan finished joint top goal scorer in the competition with five goals – but his lack of assist saw the ‘golden shoe’ make its way to Germany with Thomas Muller.
His contribution was staggering. With David Suazo in towe the South Americans finished ahead of heavyweights Brazil and Argentina.
His contribution for his club however saw them pick up silverware as they brought the UEFA Europa League to the Spanish capital for the first time.
In 2010 FIFA World Cup 2010 Diego Forlán became the first player since Lothar Matthäus in 1990 to score three goals outside the penalty area in one tournament In FIFA World History.
Forlán is the fourth South American player that has received the Golden Ball in the FIFA World Cup tournament.
His goal in the semi-final against Liverpool and his brace in the final against Fulham saw Los Rojiblancos lift the coveted title in Hamburg.Pretty much playing at the peak of his career, it’s been the best year of Diego Forlan’s professional life. Will he top it off by being named the world’s best player for 2010 ?

Diego Forlán is The Only Grand Master Player for The Long range goal...

The FIFA Ballon d’Or, the combination of FIFA World Player of the Year and France Football Ballon d’Or, is the honour for the best player of 2010. Therefore, the World Cup is not the only thing that matters in the final decision. It is important to note here that Diego Forlan won two trophies last season; the Copa Del Ray and UEFA Europa League also won Golden Ball at FIFA World Cuo 2010.
Wesley Sneijder meanwhile won a famous treble with the Serie A, which included the Serie A title, league cup and the Champions League. On the contrary, the three players Barcelona nominees only won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup in the current year.

For Ballon d’Or Why FIFA World Cup's Result is Nothing Against All European Soccer Leagues ?

Manchester United Winger Nani: Arsenal Are Now A Bigger Threat Than Chelsea

Manchester United midfielder Nani insists that Arsenal are a more threatening side than Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger's men are currently at the top of the Premier League and will clash with United at Old Trafford on Monday looking to strengthen their hold at the summit.

But a victory for the Red Devils will see them go to the top with a game in hand, as last week's game against Blackpool was postponed due to bad weather.

"Arsenal are a bigger threat than Chelsea now," Nani told reporters.

"Chelsea have lost a few games and drawn some and their confidence looks a bit low.

"But Arsenal have been winning and being top of the league gives you great confidence."

The Gunners have lost only one of their eight away games this term, winning five and drawing two. They have also scored 15 goals on their travels, which is the most that any team has scored away from home.

And the Portugal international believes that a part of it is down to Samir Nasri, who has been in roaring form during the course of this campaign.

"Arsenal have been doing well. They are growing up in the way we are," he said. "Nasri is the most important player in the Arsenal team," said Nani.

"He is a very big danger for us and we have to take care of him."

But for his own part, Nani is relishing the prospect of taking on the north London club on Monday.

He said: "I like to play against Arsenal.

"It is good playing against any big team but I have done well against them in the past.

"The way they play gives you a chance to show your quality."

United remain as the only team yet to be beaten in the Premier League, but seven of their 15 games have ended in draws.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson's charges' last league game was a 7-1 demolition of Blackburn Rovers.

"Our momentum is growing," Nani said. "Players like Wayne Rooney and Anderson are starting to play fantastically again.

"It is great because our next two games are going to be very important for us.

"If we win against Arsenal and Chelsea we will be in a very good position to win the league."

Nani: Cristiano Ronaldo still helps me

Manchester United winger Nani admitted to still seeking Cristiano Ronaldo's advice even after he joined Real Madrid.
The Portuguese player has been in fantastic form for the Red Devils, scording four league goals so far, and attributed his growth to the help from his countryman.
"Ronaldo has been a big help to me all the way through my career," Nani said, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
"He gave me a lot of advice when I first came to Manchester when things weren't going so well for me. Since he moved to Real Madrid the support has continued.
"When we were with the national team, he said to me ‘you are in good form, now keep doing it because you are important for Portugal as well as Manchester United'.
"Yes, we are big friends. He can hear me out and listen so that's ok. Even though I am in Manchester and he is in Madrid he is always texting me and calling me to wish me well.

"Now, maybe United's fans are seeing the real Nani. They are happy with me and I am happy with myself - but I want to do even more."
Nani also gave manager Sir Alex Ferguson credit for his improved form.
"After I got injured at the World Cup, I came back stronger and with more confidence to play well and score more goals than last season," Nani added.
"I wanted to score more goals and get more assists and be in the team more and this has happened.
"The manager had a meeting with all the young players and he expressed how important we are to his plans.
"He also told us that we needed to keep improving because this is a big club and we have to be winning big trophies.
"To do that, he told us that every player on the pitch needs to think he can be the best in the world. He said we are here because effectively we are the best."
Nani added: "The younger players had to accept this responsibility.
"We have to be strong in our minds and when we get our opportunities on the pitch we have to think we can play well and be part of a winning team.
"Of course, I have been working hard to help my team win the games. Sometimes it is not possible to win every game, but I think my performances in the team have been very good."
Ferguson will certainly hope that Nani can keep to his current level of form, as United look to sew up their UEFA Champions League group qualification chances when they travel to Turkey to face Bursaspor later this week.

Cristiano Ronaldo hails Mourinho's spirit

Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about his relationship with new boss Jose Mourinho - a man who he has not always liked.
During Manchester United's title triumph over Chelsea back in 2007, there were more than a few unfavourable remarks and reviews made by the "Special One" about his Portuguese compatriot.
Some of the more standout opinions Chelsea's Mourinho had about his then rival club's star player included "immature", "disrespectful" and "ill-educated".
But football can be a funny old game and both men now find themselves having to work together for a common goal - bringing the La Liga title back to Real Madrid.
In their brief time working together so far, they have certainly made an impression this season.
Overcoming a slow start, Ronaldo has fired Real to the top of the La Liga standings with an incredible 10 goals in his last four league games. After only a short time together, Mourinho is already considered as good as United manager Sir Alex Ferguson in Ronaldo's eyes.
"Mourinho is a good coach with a very clear philosophy. Now you can say, already, he is the father of Real Madrid," Ronaldo was quoted in the Daily Mirror as saying.
"He and Sir Alex are so very different but at the same time very similar.
"They share the experience, the winning spirit of victory. Of course, one of them is much older and they have lived through two very different stories.
"But I loved the time I spent working with Sir Alex and have great memories. We built a friendship and now I feel the same feeling with Mourinho. For me they are the two best coaches in the world.
"This year you can see that several things have changed: discipline, aggressiveness, style of play and the willingness to work hard and together towards the same goal. This season is very different from the past. Madrid this year is not last year. We are totally different. "
Mourinho, Ronaldo and the rest of the star studded Madrid team play at the San Siro on Wednesday night where they will put their perfect Champions League Group G record on the line against AC Milan.

The eventual winner will be the player who has achieved success in three fronts. Foremost, they should have had a strong showing for their club in the latter stages of the club season that just concluded just before the start of the World Cup in South Africa.there should have additionally transferred their league form into the world cup with their national sides- it helps if their national side is highly ranked in the FIFA World team rankings.
Considering the list is still long, I chose to be more frugal in my choices and bet on the following six in ranking order
1:Diego Forlan
2: David Villa
3: Cristiano Ronaldo
4: Lionel Messi
5: Daniel Alves

Crowd Trouble Mars Italy Clash

ITALY'S Euro 2012 qualifier against Serbia was abandoned last night because of crowd trouble.

The match was halted after just seven minutes in Genoa when Serbia fans threw flares on to the pitch.
When the game restarted more fireworks landed on the playing area — one just missing Italy goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano — forcing Scottish referee Craig Thomson to call off the game.
Kick-off had already been delayed by 45 minutes after some supporters tried to cut through fencing outside the ground.
Even before the delay, Serbia's normal starting goalkeeper, Vladimir Stojkovic, asked not to play following threats outside his hotel earlier, according to reports.
The match was meant to be played in memory of four Italian soldiers killed in Afghanistan on Saturday.
Italy coach Cesare Prandelli said: "I've never seen anything like it."
