Shawn Michaels & Triple H ''Say'' Bill Goldberg Isn't WWE Hall of Fame Material
Although "The Showstopper" is retired from professional wrestling following a loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26 and "The Cerebral Assassin" is out of in-ring action rehabbing an injury after an "attack" from "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus on an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, it doesn't mean that the two decided to stay out of the headlines.
No one can question the legacy that "The Game" Triple H and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels have made for themselves competing in World Wrestling Entertainment, not only as singles competitors capturing multiple championship titles, but together as one of the greatest factions in sports entertainment history, D-Generation X.
While they are surefire candidates to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame sooner, rather than later, they sure seem to have an opinion on another certain individual who seemed like a worthy candidate.
In a recent online interview to help promote WWE WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia, Triple H and Shawn Michaels were asked about the possibility of seeing Bill Goldberg inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in his hometown, especially given rumors of a WCW-themed year.
"As far as the Hall of Fame goes, it's tough. We have a unique business, and we try to do a legitimate Hall of Fame. We try to honor the guys that deserve it. To the guys that go in, it's something special. I heard Hogan shit on it, but I don't think anything's special to him except for money," Triple H told Jason Kirk of SB Nation Atlanta. "Like, if you called Michael Jordan to put him into the Basketball Hall of Fame, and he said, 'Alright, but I'm only gonna show up if I get to play for the Bulls next year.'
"We get that all the time. We call a guy to honor him in the Hall of Fame, and he goes, 'I want to do an angle. I want a one-off. I need a hundred grand," Triple H added. "So when you say, 'What about Goldberg,' no offense to Bill, but you've got guys like Bruno Sammartino that were legends with longevity that should be in there, but they're holding out because they think they've got one more run. Just using Bill as an example, how many years did he wrestle? Not many."
Michaels also chimed in on the matter and had a little more criticism of the possibility of seeing Goldberg in the Hall of Fame in the future.
Shawn Michaels said blatantly about the prospect of Goldberg entering this year's Hall of Fame class. Not because he's not talented, but greatness doesn't happen in a few years. Greatness is established over a long period of time. We try to promote people and get them over, but you can't do it that quickly. In our line of work, there are other qualities that make somebody viable besides just whether they're tough or not. In every other line of work...like if you're a lineman who can't play, everybody knows you can't play."
However, Goldberg responded late last night about their comments and didn't seem to have much animosity towards their thoughts on his spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.
"I read HHH and HBK's views on the WWE HOF....everyone is entitled to their own opinion," Bill Goldberg said on his official Twitter account. "They do have a point if induction is based on tenure."
In all fairness, Goldberg should have respectfully asked about the long, great tenure of Koko B. Ware and maybe his case would have been made.

Degeneration X Appears at Atlanta Falcons NFL Game
Reader Steve Shreve attended the Atlanta Falcons home game win over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday and passed along the following report on an appearance made by Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
Triple H and HBK were at the Georgia Dome before (Thursday’s) Falcons vs. Ravens game. The DX entrance theme started playing and they came out to cut a promo for WrestleMania 27. Shawn looked like he was enjoying himself while Hunter was mostly business.
Hunter was sporting a suit and clean face a la his blueblood gimmick. They talked briefly before doing the signature ‘Are You Ready’ bit. Trips explained they had to change it to ‘Rise Up’ instead of ’suck it,’ firstly because that’s the Falcons slogan this year, but also because they didn’t want to get in trouble.”
Hunter and Shawn couldn’t say it, so the Falcons told the Ravens to suck it via their win last night in what turned out to be a great game.

Shawn Michaels To Promote WrestleMania This Week With HHH
Shawn Michaels said on his Twitter account this afternoon that he is flying out to Atlanta, Georgia tomorrow to promote WrestleMania XXVII alongside Triple H.
“I was gonna tell ya tomorrow on the way. But someone blabbed. Yes, HHH and I are going to Atlanta to promote Wrestlemania, tomorrow and Friday,” he wrote.
He then noted why he’s promoting the upcoming event and for fans to not get their hopes up on him returning to the ring.
“Easy on the hoping. It’s very simple. They asked and I said yes. I will always help the WWE when I can. It will always be home to me.”
Tickets for WrestleMania XXVVII go on sale this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. via the Georgia Dome box office, Ticketmaster, and by phone (800-745-3000).

Debate: Who Was Better? Degeneration X or New World Order?
Rebellious. One word to describe both DX and the NWO. These two stables dominated WCW and WWE television in the late 90s. Sparking the Monday Night Wars, and taking pro wrestling entertainment to another level. One moment at Madison Square Garden brought about the beginning of both stables.
The Curtain Call. When Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash broke kayfabe to hug at a house show. Hall and Michaels were face at the time, while Nash and Hunter were indeed heels. Hall and Nash were on their way to WCW, and Shawn was the WWF Champion.
When the incident was illegally taped by a fan, most were outraged. Vince was ok with the situation but because it being blown out of proportion, someone had to be punished. That left Hunter with the consequences. Which were dropping down the card for a few months.
Though Michaels time in DX would be short lived. After purposely dropping the European Title to HHH, he faced Steve Austin at Wrestlemania XIV. Losing the WWF title and beginning the Attitude Era.
Leading to perhaps the biggest heel turn of all... well for now. When The Outsiders took on their three foes in a Hostile Takeover match. Basically a six man tag. Though they never revealed who the "third" man was.
Who are The Best In 2010-2011
WWE or TNA ?
The Curtain Call. When Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash broke kayfabe to hug at a house show. Hall and Michaels were face at the time, while Nash and Hunter were indeed heels. Hall and Nash were on their way to WCW, and Shawn was the WWF Champion.

But it benefited the WWE in the long run. The WWE had planned for HHH to win the King of the Ring that year. With winning the honor, a push usually comes with it. So Stone Cold Steve Austin took Hunters place and push which began his rise to the top.
The Kliq was over. Their influence on booking was dead. But bigger things were to come.
With a little convincing from Hunter and Michaels, Degeneration X was brought on screen by Management. Being joined by Chyna and Rick Rude, DX feuded with the Hart Foundation. After defeating The British Bulldog, Michaels held both WWF & European titles officially cementing their status as WWF's top stable.
A back injury forced HBK to retire, and HHH exiled him from DX.
On the other side, The Outsiders took a different approach. After contributions from Bischoff, Nash, and Hall, they decided to have WCW "invaded" and destroyed by other wrestlers. Being that they were freshly released from WWF, the two perfectly fit the bill.
Nash and Hall interrupted countless matches and continued to cause mayhem only to be confronted by Lex Luger, Macho Man, and Sting.

After some back and forth action, including the exit of Luger during the match, Hulk Hogan stormed to the ring. Momentarily running Nash and Hall off before leg dropping Savage, cementing his heel status.
Shocking starts for both Stables, though NWO's may have been more effective.
After numerous new members, and turmoil in the both groups, the original incarnations disbanded in 2000.
Only to be reformed by the WWE. The three original NWO members began assaulting top WWE Stars like The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. After Hogans departure due to a face turn, guys like HBK, and X Pac joined the NWO. Only to have Nash injured, and Michaels entering a feud with HHH.
DX was reformed as a tag team back in 2006. Ending their four year long feud, Michaels and HHH feuded with Edge, Orton, and the McMahon's. A injury to HHH, kept ended the reunion prematurely. Rejoining once again last year to become tag champions for the first time.
Shawn's Retirement permanently ended Degeneration X
