Biography
Chanelle Hayes was born on November 11, 1987, in Cheshire, England, to a prostitute who was murdered when Chanelle Hayes was only 4 years old. She was then put up for adoption and raised in the town of Wakefield by her new adoptive parents.
After high school, she began attending North-East-Wakefield College in West Yorkshire studying Spanish, music and English when, following an evening out, she took a dare and auditioned for Big Brother.
While a college student, Chanelle Hayes auditioned for a spot on Big Brother after a night out with friends, and she was subsequently cast for the show’s eighth season, which began on May 30, 2007. Her beauty, charm and volatile, on-and-off relationship with former boy-bander and fellow housemate Ziggy Lichman proved to be rather compulsive viewing for the UK public, and their ups and downs were cataloged daily by the press.
The relationship proved too much headache for Chanelle Hayes. She prematurely departed the show after 61 days following a nasty fight with Ziggy Lichman. Later that year, she was voted Favorite Housemate among all eight seasons of Big Brother.

Chanelle Hayes wasted little time doing all she could to cash in on her post-Big Brother fame. She began doing a vast number of modeling shoots and appearing at night clubs for the paparazzi. Among other TV gigs, Chanelle Hayes served as a judge on another reality show, VH1’s Wannabe: Spice Girls, in which visited the hometowns of the original Spice Girls and held auditions for a Spice Girls tribute band.
In November 2007, she launched her own perfume line called “Mwah,” and in April 2008, Chanelle Hayes began yet another reality show, this one centered around her and only her; VH1’s Chanelle: Wannabe Popstar follows the hopeful starlet as she pursues a career as a pop singer.

On May 12, 2008, Chanelle Hayes released “I Want It,” her first music single. Perhaps too conveniently, just as her single was released, a “sex tape” featuring Chanelle Hayes was sent anonymously to media websites. The tape does not show Chanelle Hayes doing anything more than dancing around in underwear, but the timing has raised more than a few eyebrows.
Modelling
Chanelle has modelled numerous times for Diva Corsets and regularly appears in the media promoting the Michelle for George lingerie line.
In May 2008, Chanelle revealed that she wanted to make one of the biggest-selling calendars of 2009. She revealed that she was aiming to beat glamour models Lucy Pinder, Gemma Atkinson and Keeley Hazell to the title, saying "All the girls are gorgeous and it’s brilliant to even be up there competing with girls who have been in the business a lot longer than me. But me, a relative nobody, came fourth this year, which is pretty damn good! Now I want to do even better and maybe knock one out of the way!"
“I Want It” peaked on the UK singles chart at No. 63. It is predictable in many ways, and included an over-processed vocal track that hid any imperfections in her voice. She told the Press Association that despite having enough songs for a full album, if the single fails, she’ll give up her music career. We’ll see about that.
