Biography
Born and raised in Winter Park, Florida, Arielle Kebbel has been pursuing a career in the entertainment industry for as long as she can remember. A veteran of the beauty pageant scene -- she was first runner-up at the 2002 Miss Teen Florida competition -- Arielle got her initial taste of acting at the age of 14, when she was cast in a public service announcement on date rape. Sensing her daughter’s natural talent for performing, Arielle’s mom decided that the time was right for a move to Los Angeles. The planets must have been aligned because Arielle immediately landed an audition for the Gilmore Girls.
Arielle spent the majority of her early years in Hollywood taking on small, one-off roles in television shows such as Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Entourage, as well as bit parts in movies like Soul Plane (2004) and Be Cool (2005). Following recurring stints on Gilmore Girls and Grounded for Life, Arielle found herself being asked to audition for progressively bigger parts, culminating in her first starring role in American Pie Presents Band Camp (2005). She followed that up in 2006 with appearances in a pair of well-received teen dramas, Aquamarine (opposite fellow rising stars Emma Roberts and JoJo Levesque) and John Tucker Must Die (featuring Brittany Snow, Jesse Metcalfe and Sophia Bush).
A natural blonde with brown eyes, the actress is not only a looker, but has the brains to go with her pretty face as well. She graduated with a 4.3 average from high school one semester early. Unlike some stars, that go out and party like there’s no tomorrow, Arielle Kebbel remains focused on her flourishing career and has stayed grounded. Arielle’s answers to interviews show a girl who is not only spirited, but also someone, who is levelheaded and ready to take on challenges. There’s really no question that this girl will reach far.
Aside from her Hollywood career, Arielle Kebbel also works with a charitable organization – A Place Called Home (APCH). APCH is a youth center in South Central Los Angeles, that helps individuals aged 9-20, overcome the destruction and desperation of living in poverty and crime stricken areas. The center now serves more than 2,500 youths. Fans are just happy to know that Arielle cares about other important things other than her high-flying career.
While other movie stars are more interested in fashion and more trivial endeavors, Arielle finds the time to read. Her favorite book at the moment is Tuesdays with Morrie. But this doesn’t mean the actress is totally disinterested in fashion and goes out looking completely dowdy. The actress is known for choosing funky and sexy threads that highlight her youth. In fact, the actress has never been photographed in ill-fitting clothes. No over-the-top accessories or dazzling yet inappropriate gowns for this actress. Arielle knows how to dress for every occasion. She often seen in clothes with simple lines & funky colors, simple yet perfect make-up, appropriate amounts of jewelry and just the right accessories to finish off her look.
Arielle Kebbel has been in a serious relationship with Brahman Turner for more than 3 years now. Brahman Turner directed the movie Daydreamer, which also stars Arielle.
In 2006, Arielle was extremely busy working on such films as The Grudge 2, Daydreamer and Outlaw Trail. If Arielle can continue with a schedule as hectic as this, she is certainly on her way toward achieving the same level of success as Mandy Moore or Jessica Alba.
