Natalya Kantemurova from Moscow wins Miss Russia 2011
Natalya Kantemurova from Moscow was crowned Miss Russia 2011 on March 5th, 2011 in Moscow. Natalya, who was crowned by outgoing queen Irina Antonenko -and by the reigning Miss Universe Jimena Navarrete- stands 177 cm tall and is expected to represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in September, and/or the Miss World pageant to take place in December.
Along with the title and the crown, Kantemurova received a cash prize of 100,000 dollar and a grant to study at any university anywhere in the world.
The 1st runner-up or “Vice-Miss” is Anastasia Mashukova from Krasnoyarsk. The 2nd runner-up is Yana Dubnik from Novosibirsk.
Throughout the year, the winner will engage in a variety of charitable, social and cultural events that promote healthy and successful lifestyle, positive attitude to life and strive for education.
50 women competed in the contest on February 12 and spent almost a month in preparation for the March 5 event.. A panel of judges chose then a Top 15, and a Top 10 who competed in the interview round.  A finalist from the contest will also represent Russia in Miss Supranational 2011 to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in September, and/or the Miss World pageant to take place in December.
